Dr. Gorman's research and teaching interests focus on issues of language and identity within U.S. Latina/x/o communities. Her interdisciplinary work also focuses on heritage language pedagogy and its intersections with bilingual education. Her research agenda is committed to engaging Latina/x/o cultural studies with sociolinguistics and she also focus on issues of language and identity in U.S. Latina/x/o popular culture in the southwest and Chicago.
