2 Title VI National Resource Centers (Latin America and Middle East)
The new School of Global Studies in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences encompasses eight distinct yet interconnected areas of study, each offering opportunities for intellectual growth, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement.
The School of Global Studies examines pressing questions of the 21st century, with a focus on international, global, regional, gender, and ethnic issues.
At the core of our school are trailblazers who are not afraid to confront and engage with complex social issues. These students bring a dynamic energy to their studies, always eager to learn more and to explore the big-picture questions that shape our global society. The diverse perspectives and experiences within our community enrich our collective understanding and drive our efforts to build a better, more just, world.
The School brings together the Department of Gender and Women’s Studies, Global Studies major, Human Rights Practice Program, Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, Center for Latin American Studies, Center for Middle Eastern Studies, School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies, and Southwest Center.
